Organizing

Since I've been organizing all my stuff (material and otherwise), I figured why not do that with my blogs? I have made another one at Vox to keep friends/family updated when I move to Japan since it's pretty nifty with photo/video space and everything. I made this one so that I could post to/read the UBC community but not much else. I will probably use this for more ranty blog entries that aren't really fit for familial consumption and other fun/stupid things like translating lyrics and maybe some creative writing. I posted some translations I did on Vox, but they don't really belong there (friends will be like "wtf?") and they're really just for me to practice my Chinese.  I want to take a step into subbing, since I want to watch "Marry Me" and fully understand what's going on.  I can go buy it on DVD from Crystal for 20$ and then do my own subbing project... or at least translate it.  I've started stalking some subbing forums/people and hope I can make nice and get them to help me. XD  I got some comments from the jdrama community saying they would be ever-greatful to me for subbing Marry Me if I were to do.  Maybe that can my pet project when I move to Japan.  Maybe I'll be too busy exploring everything to do anything.  I can't live in front of my computer forever.

I've gone through a TON of paper (its sitting in a pile in the middle of my room; I should take a picture!) and clothes and things in prep for packing.  Andrew said I shouldn't bother with taking CD's with me; burn the favourites to iTunes and send them to storage.  I suppose I could just make back up discs with my music as of now (after burning and purging old shit I don't listen to anymore - make more space on the HD) in case my comp crashes.  HOPE TO GOD that won't happen.  Touch wood.  Or fake Ikea wood as the case may be.  I've got some blank canvases I should paint also instead of storing them too.  I did one for Manuel (the one I've been working on for a year and a half already..).  Should take a picture of that for the archives also.  I asked Kevin a million times to take a picture of the one I did for him but he hasn't yet!  And he's leaving for Africa next week.  Time for a Facebook message.

I love that this is how I spend my half day off... Sitting in front of the computer watching Mago Mago Arashi and blogging.  I should read my book; I'm over the hump and I think there's only 100 more pages til the end?  Or maybe its 200.  I don't know.  Chris has a really funny book set in a Denny's in Tokyo that I should read.  Haha!
