I think that happens with many fans who aren't simply "superficial" fangirls of Arashi, i.e. Jun-baited fans and nothing more. Au contraire, I love all of them near equally, but there's a soft spot in my heart for Jun, because sometimes I feel a bit "defensive" about him.

In contrast to his princely characters, Jun comes across as a rather difficult person himself. He's not naturally talented like Ohno or Nino (different talents, but both naturally so), intelligent and affable like Sho, or even baka-love and affable like Aiba. He's Jun, obsessive-compulsive Jun, slightly-anti-social Jun, very-particular-about-everything-in-his-life Jun - if he didn't have his looks or his princely characters, frankly he would probably lose most of his fans (or never have them in the first place). But, I take to heart that the other members always say that he cares so much about Arashi, and how deeply he considers a question and then answers. In a way, it's because he's like me (at least, what I can make of his private person from his public one) that he has a special place in the Arashi corner of my heart. It broke my heart when I came across a concert report from the summer, in which Arashi fans were quiet when asked about watching The Last Princess, but were so excited about HYD Final. I'm not a fan of Jun because of Doumyouji or Sawada Shin - I'm a fan because he is a peculiar and not entirely likable personality, but a thorough and meaningful one.

Anyway, all this is towards the fact that everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I will contend with mine :). (I babble.)
