I'm nerdy and proud of it.
I got me a swanky new email address: heather.mccaw@alumni.ubc.ca
It just forwards to my regular email address which is exactly the same at gmail so I don't really see the point but I wanted to snag it first. I don't know, there's another Heather McCaw out there who goes/went to Queen's. Someone else might jack my name.
I finally remembered the name of that book I read in middle school that has been bugging me for ages: Galax-Arena. Science-fiction, distopia kind of novel. Really cool. It's probably like 100 pages and big font so it'll take a couple hours to read. Give it a shot. There's another book/series that I have been trying to remember but I can't for the life of me. Maybe someone on my list has read them (maybe the author was Australian?). It was a series of books about a video game. A group of 6 kids or something, one was a Japanese girl and her dads was a video game developer and he made this game that sucked the kids in and then they started going crazy? Or seeing cracks in their vision... Ring any bells? That's all I can remember about it. I think there were at least three books in that series and I never finished reading them. It's been driving me crazy.
Today's mission: visit the library after work. Pick up money for the trip. LAUNDRY. I've got a mountain growing on the floor. I'm going to have to man up and take my laundry to the dryers at the laundromat because it's getting too cold and they don't dry fast enough. I don't have time to do laundry and leave it out before Sunday and then I won't have time again until next weekend and I'm running out of underwear. しょうがない。 Tomorrow is Amanda's leaving party; I've got to go pick up a gift as well. Good thing it's pay day!
