Memes
It's 930, a reasonable hour to go to sleep but I am doing a meme or two instead. I'm so stupid.

I thought this one was 25 things but maybe that's the one going around Facebook. I guess there's two versions going around. I'm not going to bother tagging because I think every one's done it. And I don't think I have 16 people to tag.
Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.
1. I was in the school choir for most of my scholastic career but I didn't really like singing until I came to Japan and became a karaoke fiend. Well, didn't not like it but didn't think I was very good or confident in my abilities.
2. I severely dislike my two bratty cousins and hate having to see them. And they're father is a loser.
3. I am a half-decent artist and my middle school art teacher said I should become a graphic designer. I thought about doing a second degree after my BA at Emily Carr Art Institute but there is no way I would have been able to afford it and my portfolio is old/non-existant.
4. I get violent when I'm angry.
5. I have 7 piercings and 2 tattoos. Well, I used to have 7 piercings but some of them might have closed up because I haven't been wearing any earrings lately. I want to get two more tattoos in the future, at least.
6. I am thinking of alternate career paths. As much as I enjoy teaching, I have the talent to be a writer if I pushed myself but I also thought I would like to get into tourism and guide Japanese tour groups around Vancouver.
7. I like to cook but I hate to clean up. I want to try a new recipe at least twice a month, if not once a week.
8. I get along with my parents really well. My mom and I go to quilt shops and play video games together. Dad and I go out for dim sum lunch and movies.
9. I like living alone. I thought I would get lonely easily, which does happen sometimes, but it's much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I love being able to walk around naked whenever I feel like.
10. Ever since high school, my really close friends have been gay. I don't know how that worked out. I've had a lot more guy friends than girl friends in my life too, maybe that has something to do with it.
11. I pick up accents easily. If I hang out with someone who has a really strong accent for a while, I'll start to say words like them.
12. I liked school. I liked learning and still do. Social studies/history was my favourite subject.
13. I check my email about 20 times a day. I think it might be becoming a problem because if there are only 2 or 3 new messages when I check in the morning, I feel a bit sad.
14. I like writing letters and sending mail. I've had penpals since I was a kid and still talk to one or two of them. It takes more effort and thought than an email, and certainly more than a stupid note on Facebook. People are getting lazy in this day and age. It always makes me smile when I see letters in my mailbox.
15. I've never had a long or serious relationship and I sometimes think there is something wrong with me. I know people who have been in relationships longer than they were ever single and I don't understand how that happens. But I've come to like being single (though I still have moments) because if I was tied down to someone, I probably wouldn't have moved to Japan and if I found someone here, it would make it hard to leave. As Dan Savage says, "All relationships fail. Until one doesn't."
16. I am more racist than I like to think I am. It really scares me how apparet it becomes when I go back to Brampton where my parents live.
And with that, I think I shall go to bed.

I would email you more often, but sometimes I think my humor and way of speaking just confuses you so I stay quiet...
