魔王：焼酎の話？
Ahhh I definitely need to make Utaban a regular on my TV watching schedule. They showed some unaired stuff from Arashi's visit last week: more Nino magic, talk about Ohno's new drama and Aiba's baseball team. Ahhh Taka, you are hilarious.
Nakai: Ohno-san! New drama! It's the first time?
Ohno: Yea, first time for a renzoku drama. (Nakai brings out some promo picture).
Nakai: Maou.
Taka: A story about shochu?
Ahhh hilarious. I caught a snippit of the new song that is the theme (called "Truth") in the background as Ohno was explaining his role. It's a faster pace but not as grungy as I had hoped it would be, at least not from what I could hear. But I won't be able to tell until next week! I asked all my Japanese friends about any Tanabata festivals but nothing seems to be happening. Taka emailed me and said he'd be drinking in Kashiwa tomorrow and asked me to meet up after my work drinking party but I wanted to run home to the TV. Haha... If the rest of the dramas this season are any indication, Maou (and Code Blue? Which starts tonight... will be flipping between Himitsu and that) will be released quick. Who is subbing those? Anyone know?
I broke 1,000 words at work today. Kaneko-sensei was absent again. I wonder if it's some family emergency or something because he didn't seem particularly ill. And even if he was, he has been known to still come to work regardless of how much he wants to die. But that meant I had 2 lessons instead of 3. We did prepositions with the 3rd years and played my game with the 1st years. Both went well. I am feeling more and more teacher-like everyday. :3 Also sat and stared at my computer for 20 minutes trying to figure out what the hell to do with grade 5 tomorrow. 6 classes... god. I will definitely feel like drinking after that, you can be sure. I decide we'll review and practice the stuff they learned last week and then just learn the new prepositions and play karuta (Japanese snap). If there is time, we'll do the map symbols and kill some time but I don't think they'll be able to do the map next time even with this. But we can try.
Dan's farewell party is Saturday. :( I forgot that he was going back to the States to start work... I got him a little gift and we'll just have dinner I think? Or drinks at Ben and Andrew's and then go sing karaoke. I have been jonesing for karaoke lately but can't bring myself to go alone. I really should. Then I can monopolize the mic and sing all the Arashi and KAT-TUN and NEWS I can handle plus all the bad 80s pop that I won't sing in front of other people.
Also got an email from Stephen... he's catching on to my game, I think. He asked if I was busy this weekend and I said yes, because I am. I don't play favourites: my time is booked on a first-come-first-served basis. But he said he's going away for the summer and wanted to hang out before he goes. I said we should go bowling but didn't really make any commitment... I am fucking terrible. What is my problem? I whine about never having been in a serious relationship at 23 and then the possibility presents itself and I don't want it. Fuck.
I don't know why, but I just looked up the Moffatts on YouTube. I remember them being so much cuter... but maybe it was because I was 14? I did a bit of wiki-research and learned you can go stalk Dave Moffatt at Dave as he is currently working part-time at the Starbucks near Rosedale Subway Station in Toronto, Ontario.
This was when they got hot... but they still look like they need to eat a sandwich. Are we surprised that the viral magnatism of JE anymore? I don't think so. We do it too, in the Western world, it's just not mass-produced under one tyranical label.
