To sleep or not to sleep.
Jan. 14th, 2008 12:02 amI've been debating about whether or not to buy the AAA+Dome DVD. It's 5000yen, and a fucking region 2 DVD so I might not be able to watch it back home unless I track down a region-free player. Or, I'll have to get a copy of Nero, rip the DVD and then burn it region-free so I can watch it. Which is what I wanted to do in the first place, but neither Tsutaya or Start rent concert DVDs. Why? I don't get it. You'll let people rent and rip music CDs and movies but not a concert DVD? What the hell? My birthday is coming up (36 days!) so maybe that's what I'll treat myself to. I was looking around on Amazon.co.jp but they don't have the Dome version new, and even with free shipping, it'll cost me less (and be faster) to get it from a store. I got my watches that I wanted to Christmas, so I have to think of something else I want for my birthday. Maybe I'll buy the new Arashi single too. We'll see what comes out on the communities. No doubt someone will sub the DVD part so I won't have to buy it.
In other Arashi news, I've made a promise to myself to go see Ohno's art show. Mostly for me and my awe of any one with artistic talent but also as kind of a favour? present? to the comm's for all the work/love since I think about 90% of people can't go (not being in the country and all). It's too great an opportunity to miss. I may not be able to see a concert (touchwoodfingerscrossed) while I live here, but I'll be damned if I miss this.
Went to Hard Off today: no table to be found. I did find a futon platform thing for 2000yen but didn't buy it. It would be just another thing to get rid of eventually. They had two and I'm pretty sure if I went back they'd still be there. I'll probably kick myself down the road for not getting them, but oh well. I know what they look like now at least. Did get a nice purple sweater/shawl thing from G.U., the shit version of Uniqlo. It's cheap for a reason. Alright for standard plan t's and stuff, but I wouldn't get much else from there. Uniqlo is cheap enough.
