I think this is the most productive I've been in a long time.  I know I said that a few days ago, but I have ACTUALLY been doing stuff today.  I didn't have any lessons to teach because of exams, and actually it was only a short day (which no one mentioned to me...).  The kids had 3 exams and then were free to go.  I'm assuming its going to be the same thing tomorrow.

I spent the morning planning a lesson on definite and indefinite pronouns because that is the biggest problem these kids have.  Jun knows it too, but he hasn't dealt with it.  He said he needs to get a book about how to teach it to Japanese kids.  Whatever.  I think we can do it.  So I did that, and then did some things in Keigo's book and wrote some emails.  I was free to go by 12:30.  Had I known that, I would have saved the hassle of leaving school to go to the post office until today.  Oh well.

I came home and went straight to the laundromat because I'm out of underwear (again).  I swear I had more when I got here... maybe the washing machines in Abiko ate some.  Got that done, at my bento that I didn't even up needing to take with me and have everything hanging up in the sunny sunshine.  I even have a chance to air out my futon which doesn't happen as often as it should.  It's such a nice day!  It's a bit on the cold side, but not so bad when you're in the sun.  I'm temped to go for a run... which shocks me because I don't exercise.  I don't know why, because I like playing sports.  But I'm just lazy.

I think I should go to KIRA and inquire about Japanese classes.  They're open til 5pm so I should take my chance.  I have a couple of things I want to pick up as well: sticky hooks to hang my calendar and a corkboard, and an envolope to send Yvonne her extremely late X'mas present.  When I come back, I'm going to rifle through my clothes and purge.  I have SO many clothes (and I purged so much before I came to Japan!  Did I really buy that many??) and I hardly wear a lot of them.  Granted, it is winter so I can't wear a lot of them, but even still.  I think I wore the same 5 outfits.  Pick up day for clothing is Monday so I better remember to do it.

I've also got a wicked idea for a fic kicking around in my head so I will write it today.  I WILL.

I signed up for Japanese classes, finally.  Yvonne will be proud.  I'm trying out the Beginner level on Tuesday and see how it goes.  I want to start at the beginning and fill in the holes but if it's too easy, I can go try the Intermediate level on Friday night.  If I'm really ambitious I can take the conversation class on Saturday afternoons.  I want to study Kanji but its on Monday mornings.  Oh well.  Andrew suggested that we take the Kanji Kentei exam in the summer.  That would be fun!  I could probably sit for level 7?  Maybe 5?  I don't know.  I speak Chinese so you'd think it would be easy!  But I don't think it will.  It would be fun, and it's something we could do together.  :)  Although, he'd be doing like level 3 or something stupidly hard.

I went and got hooks to hang stuff (and naturally bought a bunch of other stuff I don't really need) and also ended up shopping at Uniqlo.  I got a nice bright green shirt for spring, some grey leggings, and two collared shirts.  I have a few sleeveless ones I bought before I left Canada to wear under sweaters but I should have bought them one size smaller.  I'm trying to replace things as I go.  I also sent Yvonne's package off.  Only 200Y!  Sweet deal.  I wonder when it will arrive?

I meant to buy bath salts or something because I want to have a soak, but I forgot.  I'll just have to use soap or something.  And then write!

[Edit]:  So, I haven't started writing yet.  Shoot me.  I took a bath, farted around at home and changed my mood theme.  Livejournal has gotten so cool since I last used it!  I remember back in the day, only paid accounts could change the layout and mood theme.  Good times.  I did try changing the layout (I like the white but the girl looks retarded) but I didn't like the look of it.  I guess I'll stick with this until something better comes along.  i've also been hunting for an emo icon and came across [profile] iconfused and I think I'm in love.  Haha.
