Ninomiya Kazunari starting in a "scooping out your instinct" drama

Popular group Arashi's Ninomiya Kazunari (25), starting in October, will be starring in TBS's drama  "Ryuusei no Kizuna" (Meteor Bonds) (Friday at 10pm), it was announced on the 22nd (of July).  Based off Naoki Prize winner Higashino Keigo's (50) mystery of the same name, it will be the first original work in 8 years for Kutou Kankurou (38) since "Ikebukuro West Gate Park" in 2000 for the same channel, with the exception of producing scenarios.

Ninomiya is to play the lead role who, with his younger brother and sister, witnessed the murder of his parents 14 years ago and go in search of the criminal.  Ninomiya says "it tries to establish sibling bonds kindly, and to become a work that scoops out not your reason, but your instinct" and is already very enthusiastic about it.

Also, the role of the younger brother is NEWS' Nishikido Ryo (23).  On the heels of Fuji TV's "Last Friends", where he played a mysterious DV (domestic volience) man, what kind of performance we'll be seeing this time will be noticed.   The sister will be played by actress Toda Erika (19).

\:D/ Yay!  Like I said, not the epic romance I am craving, but this is going to awesome.  Nino does drama so well and what more dramatic then watching your parents get slaughtered and then go off to hunt the killer?  I WANT TEARS DAMMIT.  And Toda Erika!  You slut.  First, Yamapi and Kame in Nobuta wo Produce, then Jun in HYD2; then Yamapi again in Code Blue.  Now Nino and Ryo?  You're getting around the JE camp quite a bit, there, missy.  XD  But its a good thing I like her.

AND it's being written by the guy who wrote IWGP which I loved.  Although the director would have been better; IWGP and KCE are two of my favourite drama series to date for the cinematography.  But exciting nonetheless.  Mark that on your calendars!  And it starts when Maou ends, in the same slot on the same channel, so I'll already be in my Friday night drama groove!

I finally saw Hana yori Dango Final tonight!  Ahhh~!  It's too cute for words.  I am impressed with the movie and also my ability to stumble through a full-length film without feeling completely lost as to what's going on (unlike Last Princess).  I even caught a few of the jokes!  It took me a few minutes at the beginning of the movie to stop expecting subtitles to come on screen, though.  I am definitely looking forward to seeing it again when it comes out on DVD (hopefully they are smart and include English subtitles... given Jun's pull in the States now, I'm sure they will) and see what I missed.

> I thought it would be 1,200 yen for the late show but I think it was "Ladies Day" as well so it was only 1,000 yen!  Lucky!
> Jun's English wasn't nearly as painful as in HanaDan Returns but still a bit laughable.  But at least he says fuck like a native speaker!
> Jun's outfits: some were hot, some were heinous.  But that's Johnny's for you, I'm sure.
> I don't know if it was because I had to pee but it seemed to drag on a bit near the end.  As much as I love to see people fail at life, it got a bit tiring seeing Mao and Jun farting around in the jungle.
> And of course, there were obligatory HanaDan dorama flashbacks.  I thought we would make it through without seeing that (in)famous kiss scene but I was mistaken.  I think EVERY episode of HanaDan Returns has that fucking scene in it.  Or maybe its because I've watched 9 episodes in the last 2 days?
> I think Jun and Leader are tanning salon buddies.  That glow seemed a little to even to be natural.
> Tsuyoshi's English is appaulng.  I was severely mislead to thinking he actually spoke it.  He does not.
> The ending: OMG I DIED. ♥♥♥♥ heart-mark-keymash to the max.  It was just.... ahhh perfect.  I won't be a dick and ruin it but the chemistry was perfect.  Mao and Jun are phenominal actors in my opinion but I don't know... something like that can't be faked.  It makes you wonder (even more) if they have something going on off screen.
> I'm still not a hardcore Jun fangirl but this movie got him some definite hot points.  I thought they were going to pull a Daniel Craig-007 spoof on the beach but no.  That would have been major win.

Ahhh I just have a really good feeling after seeing that movie~  It's the kind of feeling I wish I had after seeing Dream Alive.  I would break out into a stupid grin on the train thinking of a certain part.  It was just a feel good movie.  But maybe they should have subtitled it "Makino and Domyouji's Great Adventure".  XD  I already want to see it again.

I am having a good day.  A good week.  A good month?  Few months?  I don't know.  I am happy.  I feel accomplished to a certain extent.  I can say, "Yes, I speak Japanese" with pseudo-confidence.  I am becoming less and less afraid of having to deal with things that require me to speak to people, at least in person.  As long as I have back-up, I suppose.  Andrew said to me when he came back from Canada that I seem really happy, "sparkly" to use his words.  How did that happen?  When I was so fucking depressed back in March.  Amazing.  But, just give it a few weeks and I'll be back in the dump again.  It's a vicious cycle.

I finally wrote a bit today when I was waiting for the movie.  It was really random on paper but I was having trouble getting the next part out the way I want it to.  I'll have to transcribe it and tear it apart.  But its something to work with at least.  I feel like a bit of a slacker because I've been off work and not written more than a sentence.  Haha.

This trip is giving me a headache.  I shouldn't have left the tickets so late... I'm going to splurge on the shinkansen because all of the night trains are booked up and I don't want to spend only 3 days in Osaka.  I'm going to use my pay for Keigo's lessons next month for it; it'll be an experience and then I can say I rode the shinkansen.  It's one of those "must do" things in Japan, I think.  But once is enough, for that price.

Well... enough rambling.  It's nearly 12 but I'm not tired.  I should write but I think it would be better left for another time when I'm more awake.  I'm not sleepy but it's the end of the day.  I've got 2 more episodes to finish up the HanaDan series so I might do that.
