Sleep is fantastic.

I went to bed at 9:30 last night. I got up at 6:30. I still feel a bit tired but the knowledge that I slept for 9 hours makes me feel refreshed. :)

Computer is not lagging anymore. Had no viruses but ughhhh the scan took 3 hours to complete. I shut it off last night and things seemed to have righted themselves. I think I should need to clean out my programs and files. There is so much junk on here that I never even use. I only have 6GB free! Maybe that has a lot to do with the poor performance of late.

Grade 6 is starting to learn numbers today. I'm going to have to find out who is running English club (or even if there will be one) tomorrow and have a chat with them about what I want to do. I figured we could just play name games the whole time and the kids can make their own name tags. I was really bad about learning names last year--and there were only 13 kids. I wonder if there's going to be a wrinkle in the schedule again, like there seems to be every week. Ah, I should also figure out what's going to happen next week when grade 6 goes to Nikko.

Everyone's biocycle must be screwed up: there is wank and emo everywhere. Maybe it's because spring is over. I dislike this humid weather with a passion! And it's only going to get worse from here on out. At least it's still cool enough that I don't need to turn on the air-con and can sleep with the windows open. At least it's sunny today!

The first and hopefully only time.

I was almost hit by a taxi on my way to work today. 

I'm walking along the road on my way to work, rocking out to Inoue Joe on my iPod and cross the only major intersection on my route and when I'm right in the middle of the crosswalk, this taxi nearly hits me as he's making a right-hand turn.  The man was fucking green!  I actually touched the hood with my fucking hand as I jumped (and screamed) to avoid being clipped by the right headlight.  I've never trusted taxi drivers to be any good at driving in any country (oh, the irony astounds) but now I have even more reason to be wary of them.  He wasn't going fast enough to have done any serious damage; the only injury was to my iPod: the body is scuffed and warped from the impact with the pavement--of course this had to happen when I didn't have it in any kind of case.  And then.  The asshole driver had the nerve to roll down the window and shoot me a look afterwards.  I couldn't tell if it was a dirty look or not but he didn't even ask me if I was alright or stop or anything.  I finished crossing the road and squated a bit to let my heart rate return to normal and give myself a chance to cry.  I didn't but I felt like I wanted to.  Or that I would have been appropriate.  I was just a little shaken.  Of all the places to get hit on my way to school, that crosswalk was the last place I would have thought it would happen because about 75% of the way has no sidewalks.  I didn't even think to look at the license plate to report him. 

I got your card Liza!  XD  Oh, it brings back memories.

Just not my day

So, I'm expecting a delivery today.  Usually they come around noon when I'm at work so I have to call and fuck around getting them to redeliver it.  If it's Kuroneko Yamato, the shop is right across the street so they can run in right over.  This time it's coming by Sagawa transport and even though the website says that it's left the Kashiwa branch, it hasn't arrived yet.  It's 8:30pm!  Not that I haven't gotten deliveries as late as 9pm before but come on.  I'm listening super closely for any traffic on my street.  Usually I can tell when someone stops in front of my building.

Edit: Yay!  It arrived finally!  9pm. >.>

It is so windy tonight; it's howling.  It's like a baby typhoon out there.  I wonder, when is typhoon season supposed to start?

Okay, I don't think I like Toma's new hair at all.  I'm watching him on that show where there's two guests and they eat 4 dishes and they have to guess which the other person hates... Yamapi was on it once and talked about how he likes girls with big boobies.  Yeah... at one point, I thought, "Shit, Toma, you look really Chinese."  I really, really don't like it.
