Retard in Retrospect

I just melted a hole in the bottom of my curtains.  I was putting away my futon and the curtain fell over the heater and before I realized there was a nice dinner plate-sized crispy hole.  Either they were really cheap (which they were) and made of plasticy stuff, or they were designed that way for fools and children like me not to go up in flames.  I'm not going to bother getting new ones; its embarassing but not enough to make a huge difference light-wise.  I'll get a fat quarter of a kind of matchy fabric and make a patch for it.  (I almost made a rhyme!)  I'm back to the Nothing in the House For Breakfast, Conbini Before Work thing again... although I did have time to make a coffee.  More volume and better taste than the canned stuff.  Now if only my throat would stop hurting and allow me to swallow things, everything would be perfection.
