Farting around instead of writing.

I have actually been looking for a new web host on and off since Attherockshow.org died.  But that was... hrm.. going on 4 years ago now?  Yea, it's been a while.  I never looked seriously because the only "free hosting" out there as Geocities or Yahoo or the like.  They spam you with fucking ads and its just a pain.  Needless to say, nothing happened. 

But!  I found a place!  I stumbled across someone's personal domain and they said they were looking for hostees so I sent off a request and bam.  I'm hosted.  Problem is, I don't really have anything to put on it!  Really, I just miss messing around with Photoshop and HTML.  I spent the whole day thus far, aside from a break to do laundry, fiddling with it and relearning how to make style sheets.  It's been fun!  I checked out an icon tutorial and made a pretty Aiba picture to put on it.  :D  I'll probably end up using the space as a dumping ground for my writing (which I am determined to start doing more of, I swear!) and fanlistings and stuff.  I had a bunch back in the day... I wonder what happened to them? 

It's still in the growth stages and very, very simple but I'm proud of it.  To throw something so simple together took me four hours?  Damn.

Its totally basic and lame like that, but I like it. :D I will go home and play around with it some more after work (instead of cleaning before birthday celebrations). I will dig out the CD I backed up all my school work on and upload some creative writingy things I wrote last year. And go fanlist CRAZY.

If Ive learned anything its all about View Page Source and see what other people did and change it for yourself. Once youre comfy with that, you can start going off on your own. Thats my case anyway... :P Although anything that I used to have is now gone since my computer crashed last year.. :( It would have been good to have for reference.

PS Front page is EVIL..... I cant use it. It makes me so angry. XD Although you could say I get equally frustrated trying to get certain text to move 3.5 pixels to the left.

Oh I've done that for a few things too...like anti-hotlinking...popup windows...scroll bar on the right hand side and not the left XD...But its kinda of like a lot of other interests I have I'm interested but there is just too much other stuff to do and learn about out there @_@

LOL I think the only thing I've had problems with front page is on occasions it doesn't like the marquee tag much...So will edited that in notepad XD;

I hear that... I think that's why I didn't care so much when my other site went belly up - I was in the middle of second year I think, so had mountains for reading to do. But now, I have nothing but time... If what I write about in my blog is any indication. :P

its like you can have it [marquee]hello here ajhahfflhllshflkha[/marquee]...and when you save it that [/marquee] ends up riht after your [marquee] opening tag =\ its weird.

hehehehe XDDD time is fun to have though...unless you can't find something to do...then you end up doing lots of thinking =\ that can be destructive.

Totally. PS its totally awesome that you are able to instantly respond to me XD It gives me something to do at work when I'm trying not to be bored. Since I can't post on LJ, stupid firewall, but I can get around it to reply to comments from my email. Trixy!

Yea I have MSN but no one talks to me. And that's a little more obviously "not work" than typing an email or something, but the girl who I took over from had Yahoo messenger that was set to sign in automatically when you turn the computer on. And really... its not like I have real work to be doing. XD
