Birthday present from Nova

I got my unpaid wages papers from Nova in the mail today!  Happy birthday to me, indeed.  I'm owed almost ￥350,000 but the Labour and Welfare Board is only paying 80%.  So I'm getting ￥278,000 which isn't anything sneeze at.  At today's rates, that's about $2600 CDN.  I just need to copy some documents and get that off in the mail tomorrow because who knows how long it will actually take to get the money into my account.  It might be another six weeks before that happens.  I know I should remit it directly back home and not touch the money, but I will take a chunk of it for traveling.  Andrew and I are going to Nagoya in April to visit Yvonne and she suggested that we all take a trip together somewhere.  I want to go to Kyoto and Osaka, and Nagoya is half way so what's a little bit further?  I don't know if Andy is down for it, since he's going to be paying out big money pretty soon to move into his own place.  But we're definitely going to Nagoya.

Totally! I knew I would get something "eventually" but when "eventually" was... I felt like it would be never so I just forgot about it. It's actually pretty shit because I would be making about Y250,000 a month, so that's barely more than 1 months pay and they owe me for 3. Bitches. But, still. I was not expecting anything so its a nice surprise!

WEeee~ I'm done lessons for the day... now I just have to wait around til 430 so I can got to Omotesando to see Freestyle~! >___< Ureshiiii~! I hope my friend Amanda comes with me. She doesn't know who Ohno is but she's a photo/art buff so she'll appreciate the artistic integrity.

I totally am. I'm kind of pissed tho cuz I brought my contacts to wear but I grabbed the empty case instead of the case with them inside in my rush this morning :( But a camera I do have. I could make a stop at home before leaving, I suppose...... Since I have to go right past the door anyway.

Ummm this is probably really random and off-track but I noticed you mentioned CDN dollars so I saw in your user info that you're from Canada...but even stranger than that is I noticed you went to Turner Fenton...I went to Turner Fenton!!! What a freakin' small world! (I graduated in 2001 though...but my brother was probably the same year as you!)
