Good news: Toyoshiki asked for me to be the ALT here again next year. :D
I'm glad because I didn't want to learn a new set of names/faces. I'm
finally starting to remember a lot of the kid's names without having to peek
at their name tags. I just hope Jun and Imai-sensei are here next year
too. I should ask Jun if he will stay or if he's going to move somewhere.
Then I'll give him my contact info so I can bug him for a reference letter
next year.

Tatsuya came to watch me and that was fairly painless. I had to come down
to the office and pick him up and I mentioned the jaw thing (to which he
responded, "I don't think a dentist can help you," but what does he know).
At least he's aware of it in case I have to take time off for something
now. Then he watched my lesson and actually the kids were understanding! I
didn't have to get Imai-sensei to bail me out with Japanese translation.
Usually he sticks around and gives me some feedback afterwards but he was
already gone when I came down. Maybe he had another school to visit? I'll
probably get an email tonight or tomorrow with some comments. I wrote big
on the board, I spoke in short easy sentences. They all got what they were
supposed to do. The only thing he might mention is that I said, "There are
broken sentences on the board. Let's fix them," and the kids probably don't
know the words "broken" and "fix". But that's a minor slip on my part.
Maybe I'll get a raise! I also convertly mentioned my birthday so they know
it's next week. XD But I don't have that class on Thursday.
