I scammed the school's resources (again) and printed out the Learn to Run
10K program so I can reference it easily and make notes if I have to. I've
also planned out when I'm going to run (weather pending?) for the next 6
weeks. By then I should be running 5 minute intervals with 1 minute walk
breaks no problem. I felt really good yesterday, didn't get winded or
cramps. Though my feet were hurting? I don't know why since I've got
proper running shoes--though they are Nike which Blake chided me for. I've
always had Nike shoes and they've never given me issues before. Actually
they hurt more walking than running but maybe it was just me being totally
out of shape. That is a very likely scenario. Anyway, I'll lace them up
tighter tomorrow and see how we go. I'm going to have to print out/get some
maps of Kashiwa and measure out a course of 5k and 10k. If I stick to my
plans, I should be doing 10k at a reasonable pace by the first week of
June. And then stick to it! Blake runs and so does Ariel so maybe we could
make a weekly date to go running in Yoyogi park or something. It's not like
I'm not in Tokyo every effing weekend anyway... but I don't want to ride the
train for an hour just for a run and they don't want to come out here
either. Although running around Teganuma would be nice. Maybe I could talk
him into that once.
I'm going to print out the rest of Equilibrium too. Then I will have it all
together in hard copy for easy editing. I might do chapter 3 today.
