Preparations?
May. 2nd, 2007 12:16 pmSo, school is finally over. And era is complete. Well, almost, once I get my final marks back in my last couple courses. It's all hinging on me passing 320. And I felt really good about the exam, so I'm just hoping that my hard work pays off.
This is (one of?) the blog I'm going to have to post about my exploits in Japan. And all the preparations that lead up to it. Then I might be take it and write some wonderful travel book in my old(er) age just like Claire Wright hopes I do, I'm sure.
I have all my paperwork sent off to Nova, my criminal record check is clean (of course!) so I'm just waiting for the Visa to be processed on the Japan side of things. I haven't heard anything from JET either, although the deadline just passed today. So I might hear something from them next week on my moving up in the list. I'm not holding my breath though.
I've got to talk to Sara about taking some hours there, Maria says that she's paying 10$ to everyone now so that would be sweet. Charlene also said they want to train me in the bar so I can get some serving in. Excellent! But I don't know when that's actually going to happen - from what I hear, management there is a lot of talk and not a lot of action. But its a step forward. Anything to bank some cash for Japan! Also waiting for my tax return... I just need to stop having spending sprees like I did today...
