Arashi on Kohaku! And I'm not here. :(

It was just announced today that Arashi will make their first Kohaku appearance this year! And I won't be here to watch it. :( Sad face. I think I might take my computer home with me since I'll be home for a month and that's just too much downloading to catch up on! I was wondering if they would be invited this year, seeing as how they've just boomed over the last couple years and it's their 10th anniversary.

I might have to watch it on Keyhole or something, though I'll probably be in Niagara then for my own new year's celebration so I won't have time. It'll be up for download I'm sure anyway. Though I have to say, last new year's we just stayed in and watched Kohaku and then some Johnny's countdown on TV and ate soba and had some drinks, and it was probably one of the best new year's I've had.

same situation here . . . i always go home for christmas and new year so i'll be missing kohaku, countdown and the fuji drama special.

but if you happen to have access to cable, the probably have nhk. i think they only show kohaku at all nhk channels so even nhk world will show it. plus there's a replay of the whole thing the next day. and oh, i don't think you get nhk on keyhole.

plus if you're gonna watch the countdown of the specials in keyhole, better log in early. last year you couldn't even get it to run since so many people where trying to watch.

i just hope we get decent quality raws for the countdown and the special.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'll probably be too busy partying myself to watch it anyway. I don't think we can get NHK on Rogers cable in Canada, but it's definitely something I should look into so I can keep up my Japanese when I move back.

I have no doubt there'll be downloads ASAP.
