Why can't things go well for me?

I'm watching Hanadan F now but the soft subs' timing is all kinds of fucked up. They are like 3-4 seconds too fast so I have to read ahead and try and match them up to the dialogue. It's fucking tiring man, and is kind of giving me a headache. But there aren't any other versions. There are some mistakes and not all the lines are translated, I think. Or maybe that's just the problem with soft subs. I don't know. I don't know why they don't just include English subs on the DVDs. Seriously. When they export them to HK or TW, they'll have Chinese subs. Why not English? Retards.


The shirt idea bombed. It doesn't look good. I'm not just being hard on myself. I half-assed it so I shouldn't really be surprised. But I can't give it as a present. I have to go shopping tomorrow before heading over to Andrew's place. I wonder what I'll get him now. Talk about leaving it to the last minute.

I know that AST released a subbed version a few weeks ago, only on the cam version. They plan to re-release it for the DVD release, too, though it hasn't happened yet.

Ugh.. by the end, the timing was like 7 seconds off. It was terrible. I'll keep an eye out but I don't want to download another version. Hopefully they do soft so I don't have to.

No, they only release hardsubs, I'm sorry. I'd wait until they release their DVD release — I imagine that they're working on re-timing and encoding right now.

The other option is that you can retime subs in certain media players, although that works best if the subs don't become more and more off x:

Damn. Do they do torrents? Then I wouldn't mind. It's the fucking 18 part shit that pisses me off the most. Well, I've seen it twice already. It's not like I'm dying to see it again.

No torrents. I'm an uploader for them, and I always upload the entire file to MU — one link. Depending on the size of the DVD release, I might have to split it if it's > 1024 MB.

For HYDF, they instituted a password-protect policy, in which you have to leave a comment with your e-mail for the password. However, HYDF is the only file that they've done this for, and they have released many other Arashi (HnA, AnS) without passwords. Since I'm technically on the team, I'm a little biased, but I think AST is very reasonable, and the translators are great, including Becky of taijiprojectsub who helps with translating HnA.
