Proud Mama!

After 3 hours and 3380 yen, I'm the proud new owner of a 14" TV!  As an added bonus, the DVD player ACTUALLY hooks up and works!  It's just a bit weirdly placed and haven't quite decided if I like where I've put it but the outlet next to the cable jack is already overflowing and I don't want to blow it out by adding more.  I've got the TV on my table which is more just for putting crap than actually using as a table, but with the TV on it I can't use it for dinner parties, should I get around to having any.  The top of my plastic drawers would be a good place for it (I'd just have to rearrange the plug situation over there or pick up a power bar) since I don't use the top of it for anything else except for piling up usless crap.  The DVD player is long and thin so I can't rest the TV on top of it nor will it sit nicely on top of the TV.  Another logistical problem I'll have to work now, but another time.  Maybe when I sit down to watch Shukudai-kun tomorrow night I'll see how things work.  Maybe I'll find a stand for it and move my drawers elsewhere. 

Part of me is tempted to go out and get a DVD to christen the telly, which I should name just to be obnoxious, but I can't really bring myself to move my fat ass.  I don't have any food, so I require a conbini run for dinner, but I don't have the energy to do the big required grocery shop.  Noguchi-sensei mailed me today saying to come to school tomorrow at 8am for aisatsu so I should make a concieted effort to get to bed before midnight if I have to get up at 6:30am.

Off to the conbini and watch the Time Con to see what everyone is raving about.  And get some fodder to write Ohmiya porn.

I'm that bored.

Because I am so lame waiting for the kettle to boil.

And now I am watching the Time con and screencaoping the heinous costume choices.  I have many clever comments brewing.  And I am falling in love more and more with Nino's voice.  It doesn't do that gross weird falsetto-wavery thing that I hate so much anymore.

A costume designer somewhere needs to be lynched.

I am going to subject you all to a lot of screen caps and my catty comments about the Time con constumes. I only hope to god they don't kill another herd of peacocks for the costumes this year. Alas, I haven't perfected the art of screencapping, so the quality kind of blows. But they are resized so they don't kill your screen. You'll get the picture.

Edit:  I know the costumes are made to be over the top so people can have a chance to see them from the back row (though when you're that far away, you can't see shit).  It's still fun to make fun of the heinousness.  And for the record: I LOVE SEQUINNS.

And I'm spent.  It's 12:30am, and I should be getting up at 6:30am to get ready for work.  Although this totally just pumped me up, I don't know if I'll be falling asleep before 2am.  I am too witty for my own good.
